Vision and Mission

  1. This program will provide the participants with management applied knowledge and skill in business, after they have successfully completed the program. Additionally, they will be sufficiently inculcated with the basic knowledge in areas of research, finance and accounting, economics, marketing, strategic planning apart from the foundation in Global Business Environment and Human Resource Management.
  2. The above will render outcomes that would enhance the participant’s ability to efficiently manage corporate organizations and strengthen their managerial competency, in implementing strategies to eventually become quality corporate leaders.

Objectives

  1. To enable graduates to articulate and apply relevant theories and adopt the principles and best practices in management.
  2. To enable graduates to perform as managers and demonstrate managerial leadership when performing value added activities with effective communication skills.
  3. To enable graduates to formulate, communicate, and implement strategic thinking processes involving cross-cultural communication and sensitivity to the needs of different cultures.

Learning Outcomes

  1. The ability to integrate and apply knowledge in the areas of management for both localized setting and international environment.
  2. The ability to demonstrate relevant expertise and skills to provide leadership in industry.
  3. The ability to engage in strategic and critical thinking with analytical, evaluative, and problem solving skills when making business decisions.
  4. The ability to engage in effective cross-cultural communication skills and sensitive to social responsibility in a multicultural setting.
  5. The ability to articulate ethical issues in management as well as to provide leadership in social responsibility.
  6. The ability to lead and engage in lifelong learning at individual, group, and institutional levels.
  7. The ability to acquire creative and innovative ideas to initiate enterprising activities or projects.

Entry Requirements

i. Bachelor’s degree in Business with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or equivalent as accepted by the HEP’s Senate; or
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a CGPA of 2.50 but not attaining CGPA of 2.75 from 4.00 can be admitted depending on the internal assessment of HEP (including tests, interviews or portfolios); or
iii. Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a CGPA of below 2.50 from 4.00 is admissible subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in the relevant field; or
v. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.

English requirements

Candidates who wish to enter a program which medium of instruction is English language must pass the English Language Qualification (TOEFL: 550 / IELT: 5.5) or MUET band 4, or equivalent qualifications. Exemption will be granted subject to the University Senate’s approval based on situations.

The applicant needs to study a total of 13 courses and a project paper using any of the following study workloads available at the faculty:
