The Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme is designed to develop highly skilled professionals capable of leading and innovating in diverse business environments. Program Learning Outcomes

  • Analyze business administration concepts, hypotheses, and research methodologies while emphasizing originality and independence in the analysis and synthesis of complicated data.
  • Integrate information interactively to solve complex challenges and problems in business administration through research, appropriate tools and methods for developing new ideas and decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive and specialized research methodologies by using accepted approaches, techniques, and procedures based on the latest developments in business administration.
  • Works together and gains knowledge from a variety of local and international working communities, learning communities, and groups or networks.
  • Communicate effectively among peers, experts, and non-experts in writing and oral form using the knowledge, skills, ideas, critique, and conclusion/rationale appropriately.
  • Use a wide range of acceptable digital technology and applicable software to develop research on business administration practices.
  • Applying numerical and graphical data to quantify business administration issues using mathematics and other methods that are both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and leadership in decision-making process while leading and working with other teams to solve business administration problems.
  • Integrate independent lifelong learning efficiently throughout a continuous academic and professional career.

Entry Requirements

Online
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to the HEP rigorous internal assessment (may include tests, interviews or portfolio); or
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to the HEP rigorous internal assessment (may include tests, interviews or portfolio); or
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; or
  • Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognized by the Malaysian Government.

 

English Competency Requirement (International Student)

Candidates who wish to enter a program which medium of instruction is English language must pass the English Language Qualification (TOEFL: 60 / IELTS: 6.0) or MUET band 4, or equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2). Exemption will be granted subject to the University Senate’s approval based on situations.

 

Program Structure

The applicant may enrol in this programme under Structure C: Courses and Project Paper, which requires the completion of 13 courses and a project paper. These can be undertaken through any of the study workload options offered by the faculty.
