Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Kamal Abdul Rahman

Dr Ibrahim Kamal bin Abdul Rahman is an academic staff of MEDIU university. He has served UITM for 35 years and in a variety of academic administration roles. During his tenure as the dean in UITM, the faculty has achieved a lot of awards and gained many national and international recognitions. Well known for his excellent management in academic affairs, he serves on board of study for Bachelor of Accounting programme at many universities including UNITEN, University College of Tech Sarawak, Islamic University of Malaysia, academic advisory for Master of Accounting University of Malaya and at present external examiners for the accounting program for UNIRAZAK and Asia e University. He was also a council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants for two terms and council member for University Kolej of Tuanku Abdul Rahman for 5 years.

He is a member of Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia and Chartered accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). During his tenure as a council member of MIA, he was the MIA Task Force for Review of the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) UNITEN. He was also a member of the Disciplinary Committee, and Education Committee as well as a committee member for the “Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) from 2001 -2012. He was one of the founding members for the National Award for Management Accounting (NAfMA) at the national level organised by MIA and CIMA (Malaysia).

Upon compulsory retirement from UITM in 2015, he joined UNIKL for 6 years and was appointed as the Dean of the business school for 2 years. He was also the Past President of the Malaysian Accounting Association (MyAA) from 2008 to 2014.
